It’s final I truly have the best husband in the world. Erik my husband and I recently celebrated our two year wedding anniversary and believe it or not he took me to a castle….yeah I said it a castle. He surprised me with a trip to Napa a few days after our anniversary, because I had a weekend full of weddings the actual day of our anniversary. We stayed in the quite town of Calistoga. He arranged massages and mud baths for the both of us. I have to say that the mud baths were an experience that I don’t want to do again, totally weird. During our day filled with great foods and wine tasting we went to Castello di Amorosa “Castle of Love” which is a castle built right in the middle of the napa valley and took over fifteen years to build, it was breathtaking. I wanted to share with you some photos I took during our loving trip.

the castle even had real spider webs, go figure!

Now look at these two, what a stinking cute couple…..I met Heather a few months back at the Motherlode Bridal Show in Angels Camp and we just clicked. Heather has a sweet and loving personality where Greg is fun and hillarious….I was laughing so hard just by the little comments and jokes he was telling during our session in downtown Murphys last week. I just love engagement sessions, because I get to learn so much about my couple. Heather has been traveling all over the world lately for her job and that night she was flying down to LA for business. Greg has been the first person who knew of the company EMC who I photographed in Cabo San Lucus back in April. This couple is loads of fun and I’m really looking forward to shooting their sleek/modern wedding at Ironstone Vineyards in August…. Here is a cute photo of the both of them…..I will post more photos soon, check back.

Wow…I’ve never been to a wedding besides my own where all of the toasts made me laugh hysterically or tear up. AJ and Bryan are from Chicago and traveled and  planned their wedding at AJ’s mothers home in Sonora. Its amazing how many small details and items AJ made to make her wedding day unique and special. One of the most romantic moments of the day was when AJ and Bryan had a first look before the ceremony, this truly was beautiful. From Cub’s tickets as place seating cards, milk chocolate candy, and a dark pink combination of flowers each detail had a specific meaning to this special day. Throughout the night a guest and I came up with an idea to make the brides bouquet like a traveling gnome and instead of taking just random shots of people at the wedding all the guests had photos with the bouquet, this turned out to be the talk of the night. I truly enjoyed their special day and can’t wait to someday travel out to Chicago and have lunch with my lovely bride and groom.

One of the most fun and creative ideas Christine has at her wedding was serving Panini’s for dinner! They were great!

Were officially five weeks into wedding season and I’ve been excited to share some of the recent weddings I’ve shot, so over the next few days I will post more weddings and contact information for all the vendors that helped make these bride’s wedding day special. I’ll start off with sharing Emily and James’s wedding held at Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp last weekend. When I first met the couple, James hated the a camera and had the idea of shooting their engagements on his fishing boat….every brides dream right? Emily quickly changed those plans and we had a great time shooting in Murphys for the afternoon. Emily and James are such a sweet couple and It was a lot of fun photographing their special day. Below are some of the special people that helped their wedding happen.
